Comments: I was out looking for information on the 147th because my father served in it from Nov 1967- Nov 1968. He was interested in how he could join your association and I was interested in know how to get more information about the unit as well as information about a unit coin and patch. Michael Inman

Thank you very much for your time,

Comments: Hi all,

Name is Geoff Robinson aka Hillclimber 19er (70-71)

Remember the 235th Guns next door to us at Can Tho. Great honor being thrown over the Dealer rail. I had the pleasure of running into (Cpt) Friendly Yuhas. The bravest guy I know. He caught a round in his helmet flying a low level run for the 147th and the round kept going around until it ran out of energy. He still remembers being smacket in the head with that one and didn't let me forget it was for us. He hated the fact that our new Charlie models could out fly a Cobra in straight and level flight. I'm currently in Dallas on business and am really sorry I missed the reunion. Lord-you are a great lot of people who still fill my memories. Don't worry Mike Connine, I won't tell any one we took Francie Perro (a nurse from 3rd Surg) on a mission to the Seven sisters. Whoops!!!

Comments: Just found this site, wow what a flood of memories, choked me up. Thanks very much for this effort. I will definitely attend the 2001 reunion. Would love to see Floyd Beyers, Royce Raley, Wes Swenson, Dave Helton, Patterson, Jardine, and many more I can't think of. Anybody heard of these guys? Are they out there? Very Best Regards, CW2 William L. Milo 147th @ VungTau, 8/68-8-69

Have you ever spent time in a veteran's hospital? This not-for-profit group works to lessen the bleakness that permeates most Veterans Health Administration hospitals.

Comments: i want to admit that i was excited to find the site, and still a bit hesitant to come around. im just not much of a joiner. i talked to rodney at length one sunday. so from a distance ( the site)i can read about whats going on . my wife (the 2nd)has been supportive. this year i was diagnosised with ptsd. i always thought the guys that went that route were whinners..ill do my best to be there. .William the Whinner ...the 147th was part of my second tour. i was with the 101st the first tour. i hated flying but loved the thrill of pushing it to the edge with you crazy bunch of prop jockeys that would go anywhere and never say "NO".
