Comments: Was a Hillclimber in RVN and have some great and memorable times. Think I even left a Chinoook there when Ken Sherfey and I took some hits. I, over the years have misplaced that photo and would love to have a copy. Hope someone in the unit has one they would be willing to put on the site. Look forward to linking up again and renewing old friendships.

Comments: Excellent site, guys. I worked in HHC 222nd Avn Bn as payroll specialist for all battalion officers (including the 147th) from March 67-March 68. Was temporarily assigned to 9th Finance Det. near Vung Tau. My best to all fellow vets.

Comments: I was quite excited when I found this website. Seeing the pictures of the chinooks, and Can Tho has brought back lots of memories of my year in the RVN. I was a hillclimber from Nov. 70 to Nov. 71. It would be really great to hear from any one that was there when I was. I am planning on attending the reunion in Williamsburg, and hope to meet some old friends.

Comments: I was with the 147th at Vung Tau from Oct 68-69 as maintence & crew chief, some people I remember were "Sugar Bear" (real name escapes me, anybody help ?), Johnny Milword or Milford, from Florida, Jerry Owen, Robert Hoag (CWO) and many more faces that I can't put a name with right now. Does anybody remember a C-47 (not a typo, fixed wing) crashing on the runway at Vung Tau in late 69 and have information. I remember Robert Hodges who lost his life in a night maintenance run up, God Bless His Soul. Anybody know any others who served with 147th from 68-69. I also have pictures and some fading film of Vung tau. Thanks for the memories. I'll check back regularly.
