During period 9-68/9-69 was a member of the 54th Avn Co Big Daddys in Vung Tau. Flew a couple of flights as a door gunner with CWO Don Raley, awaiting my in country check out in the Otter. The gang at Tiger Towers was great. For two dissimiliar units we had great times together. flew many of the same areas One question has occurred to me. Did the 147th ever get an upgrade in Chinnoks. When I left in Sep 69 they still were bringing ourOtters home with A models. Even the Innkeepers had B models. In Sep of 88 was in a C model belonging to the PA National Guard. It had 88 hours total and had a new car smell. Great Site. We have a great site also for the Army Otter Caribou Assoc. |
